This Christmas season, Rainbow Youth Centre will be distributing Christmas stockings to youth aged 11-19 years, young parents, and their infants and toddlers. It is anticipated that there will be approximately 180 stockings distributed this year.

Rainbow’s Christmas Stocking Project has been an initiative of the agency since 1991. The success of the Christmas Stocking Project relies solely on donations. Each stocking is filled with various hygiene products valued at about $40.00. We invite Lakeview United Church families to contribute items that are greatly needed by young people in our community.

Below are the stocking items needed this year:

  • adult toques (new, not used)
  • adult mittens (new, not used)
  • socks for infants and toddlers (new, not used)
  • bibs
  • baby shampoo
  • adult toothbrushes
  • children's toothpaste
  • women's deodorant
  • children's shampoo/body wash
  • adult shampoo
  • colouring books
  • crayons
  • books for infants and children

Cash donations and gift cards from Shopper's Drug Mart or Walmart are also welcome. A collection basket is located in the Welcome Centre for your donations. Donations need to be received by SUNDAY, DECEMBER 8, 2019.

Thank you for considering our request. Best wishes for the Christmas Season!
