We are pleased to welcome Rev. Wanda Walter, who became our minister in June 2026.
A message from Rev. Wanda:
Prior to being ordained in 2023, I was a teacher for close to 20 years. I am grateful to God for calling me to ordained ministry and I am honoured to serve and lead at Lakeview United Church as their minister. Two of the areas that God has set my heart on fire for are justice, especially social justice, and pastoral care. This passion, and other areas of ministry, give me the opportunity to journey with and support people in their faith journey, in their growth and in their struggles. I greatly appreciate that Lakeview United is open and welcome to all, especially people who are undervalued and marginalized.
My husband and I have been married for over 25 years, and in my spare time I enjoy hiking, biking, camping, reading, plays and spending quiet time in God’s beautiful creation.
